When the lights are out, and the moon is full and bright, beware...the children of the endless night.

I saw xmen 2, it was really good.... but once again its hard to bring a team of super heros to the movies without it being a longer than standard screen time. I mean, they have to concentrate on who what when where how the good guys and who what when where how the bad guys.
The human brain can only handle 7 new concepts in a given amount of time, I mean... Colossus was barely memorable... I even forgot he was in the movie until I started writing this.
I have to admit that I thought Night Crawler would be stupid with Alan Cummings as my favorite "Dark Elf" but after seeing the movie, I was reminded that this was the ORIGINAL Night Crawler they were using, the one where he was introduced in a Circus and he was religious... going back in my memory to those comic books, and Night Crawler was a very good character for this movie.... in fact, they showed more of Night Crawler using his powers than anyone else in the movie...
In retrospect, I would love to see a Night Crawler spin off, his use of his powers and his tail and his fighting technique was simply awe inspiring... "I felt it kinda sucked though that once he joined Xmen, he toned down his abilities to a ... "dare I say it..." night crawl... hehehe
For anyone who read the comic book series and all its spin offs, I'd say the movie was jam packed full of actual Xmen Plot history, with Iceman's brother being a jerk *and if you read the comics you will know why* to Jean Grey having the first hints of the Phoenix creeping into her consiousness.
They also hint at the fact that they have already been to the mutant prison Island, which actually was extremely tramatic for all the Xmen... and If memory serves, some quit and went off to become the New Mutants... also, not far from this time line came the Phlanx... but thats comic history and we don't want to go there.
Suffice to say, hints aside, not enough screen time and development aside... Xmen 2 was twice as good as Xmen 1... I give it 7 moons.
